ALLEN COGNATA - WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
After years of script writing and not having sold a single screenplay, Allen decided to
attend the New York Film Academy in 1999. Here he penned Ghetto Dawg, a full-length
feature that he would soon go on to produce. The film was shot in the year 2000 after
Allen successfully completed the program at the NYFA. The film was distributed in 2002
buy Spartan Entertainment and later spawned a sequel, Ghetto Dawg 2. After a five-year
hiatus from the entertainment industry, Allen wrote his latest script, The Putt Putt Syndrome. He would go on to produce his second feature with Donald Roman Lopez and
Rene Veilleux. The Putt Putt Syndrome is Allen's directorial debut. |
RENE VEILLEUX - PRODUCER
Founder of Verité Films, Rene has worked in all aspects of production during his 17-year
career in film, television and animation. He has worked for numerous high profile
companies such as, Miramax, MTV, Nickelodeon, E!, CBS, TLC, double A Films, and
Forensic Films, the last two Sundance award winners. Rene co-produced the feature filmThe Tavern, and also directed numerous shorts, including Daisies, which screened at the
Brooklyn Film Festival. He wrote, directed and produced the feature film What Comes Around, and produced the shorts AI3 and eMotion, the last two screened at the Cartagena
International Film Festival. Most recently, Rene worked as a Voice and Casting Director
for animation for several Anime titles, and is currently directing a preschool series
entitled Cloud Bread. In addition, Rene is developing a number of projects as part of the
Verite Films 2009-20010 line up. The Putt Putt Syndrome, staring Jason London, David
Chockachi, Thea Gill, Heaher Tom, and Robert Maschio, is the latest feature film
produced by Rene Veilleux. |
DONALD ROMAN LOPEZ - PRODUCER
Co-founder of Verité Films, Donald began acting on stage with the prestigious Spanish
Repertory Theater in New York City, as well as appearing in commercials, independent
films and TV. As a writer, Donald has adapted a number of Japanese anime series,
including Zoids Genesis, Honey and Clover, Buso Renkin and Monster. He also coproduced
and played the lead role in Daisies, wrote and directed the ensemble short titled eMOTION, and the sci-fi short titled AI3, the last two screened at the Cartagena
International Film Festival. Donald also co-produced and starred in the feature film What Comes Around that screened at The New York International Film and Video Festival. As part of Verité Films line up, Donald is currently developing a number of projects
including the animated series Squad 121, The Adam Project, the sci-fi series Project
Quantum, and his feature film Mapalé. Most recently, Donald produced the feature film The Putt Putt Syndrome, which is currently in postproduction. |
DANIEL SOLLINGER - COPRODUCER
Daniel Sollinger is a 1993 graduate of New York University's Film School, and the
producer of more than 350 commercials, music videos, and short films for clients
including Pepsi, Warner Brothers Records, CBS, Sony, and Comedy Central. Daniel
teamed up with Oscar and Emmy nominated director, Peter Spirer on Rhyme & Reason, a
feature film documentary on hip-hop culture. It was distributed by Miramax Films and
played in 280 theaters nationwide, garnering $1.6 million at the Domestic Box office and a
certified gold soundtrack. Daniel also served as an Executive Producer on the feature film,Six Ways to Sunday directed by Adam Bernstein and starring Adrian Brody, Deborah
Harry, and Isaac Hayes. Daniel's other feature credits include being the sole producer onGod's Forgotten House starring N'Bushe Wright, and producing Age of Kali starring
Taylor Nichols and directed by Rafal Zelinsky, as well as The God's of Circumstance
starring John Schneider. Daniel has also line produced a number of successful titles such
as Day Zero, The Alphabet Killer, Day on Fire, and In My Sleep, among others. |
CRAIG JANSSON - COMPOSER
Originally from Australia, Craig worked his way up for over a decade from age 14 till
1999 to become a Senior sound designer for the Austereo radio network. Later he became
a Producer and sound designer for the Net2Nite syndicated radio show across the USA
for over a year, and eventually received countless radio awards including Producer of the
year and Best Radio Campaign from the world coveted RAW Awards. Most recently he
created the GSN radio project for the web. As a musician, Craig wrote and produced the
gold single Venus or Mars by the popular Australian duo Jackson Mendoza. He has also
done a number of live mixes for high profile artists such as, Sting, Bonjovi, Metallica, Alanis Morrisette, Savage Garden, Kyle Minogue, Neil Young and Elton John, among
many others. For the past few years, Craig has been part of the ImaginationEntertainment team as a Director of Imagination Sound Design, producing countless of
dvd games extras for many titles from Disney to Warner Brothers. Recently Craig has
been collaborating with Verite FIlms as a Sound Designer in numerous projects includingThe Putt Putt Syndrome. |
